Death metal maniac and personal friend of mine Colin Buchanan is releasing a full-length for his solo goregrind project Genophobic Perversion on Friday. After releasing 11 full lengths in 2021, he’s back again with more messy, gore-filled sludge-grind that even he will admit is near unlistenable. This project is his creative outlet with no quality filter, and sometimes it’s fun to get a glimpse of what’s going on in his head.

Leon is looking forward to Persefone’s Metanoia, and Abysmal Dawn’s Nightmare Frontier:

These Andorrans hold cult status for their unique brand of progressive melodeath. It’s regularly high-quality, and this one is bound to be no different.

Abysmal Dawn – Nightmare Frontier

These no-bullshit straight death metal boys are back again, this time with just an EP to give you the taste of things to come. From the titles it seem they too are jumping on the Bloodborne wagon.

I was looking for interesting upcoming releases and this title caught my eye. Judging from the singles I’ve heard so far, this is going to be an amazing atmospheric black metal record, focused more on the overall musical landscape it aims to build rather than the harsh, tremolo-picking-madness part.
