Insomnium – Anno 1696

Insomnium is always consistent with their brand of melodic death metal. The new record is a concept album set in a medieval atmosphere, and it never fails to delight with its simple yet refined melodies.

Sarcoptes – Prayers To Oblivion

Sarcoptes gives us some heavy and aggressive black metal that simultaneously feels infectious and grandiose. This is everything that I want out of this style of black metal.
