Upcoming Albums – April, 2nd

Here are Metal Utopia’s most anticipated albums of the week!

Leon and Chaz are looking forward to Haunt’s Beautiful Distraction:

Haunt – Beautiful Distraction

It’s more Haunt and by this point you should know exactly what to expect. This includes their consistent quality.

The relentless Trevor William Church continues his prolific streak with another absolute ripper of massive hooks, dizzying leads, and chilling atmospheres that’s sure to become an instant classic.

Leon is looking forward to Rorcal & Earthflesh’s Witch Coven, and Aphrodite’s Orgasmic Glory:

Rorcal & Earthflesh – Witch Coven

Small collaboration between the Swiss sludge/noise/black metal Rorcal and one of their members’ harsh noise project. Rorcal were never shy to noise it up, so this might be cool.

Aphrodite – Orgasmic Glory

(Release date: March 30) Grimy old-school heavy/speed metal with raw production and female vocals that are halfway towards punk. Their debut was a total banger imo and this one is hopefully up to par.

Sean is looking forward to Wode’s Burn in Many Mirrors, and Plaguewielder’s Covenant Death:

Wode – Burn in Many Mirrors

Blackened Death Metal from one of the best in the genre. Wode continue to get better with each album and this one is no exception. If this is a band you haven’t heard ypu need to change that immediately.

Plaguewielder – Covenant Death

Blackened Sludge with emphasis on the black metal. Plaguewielder make heavy and aggressive music that is sure to please fans of either genre. This is one to look out for.
