Rick:

Sylvatica – Cadaver Synod

Crunchy melodeath to bang your head to, and hints of folk metal to entertain your mind. Cadaver Synod sounds a bit like Ghost if they where death metal, or late-era Fleshgod Apocalypse without the Opera. Anyway, it’s just the perfect album for Halloween and October in general.

Jared:

Malokarpatan – Vertumnus Caesar

A brilliant fusion of black metal and heavy/speed metal dripping with creativity and filled with riffs. It’s a hell of a time.

Matthew:

Theocracy – Mosaic

Theocracy is finally back with their long anticipated new album after signing to Atomic Records. Mosaic is power metal tuned to crisp perfection, and the epic album closer “Red Sea” clocking in at just under 20 minutes is the icing on the cake.

Baring Teeth – The Path Narrows

Weird death metal from a band that’s always able to provide a good time. I wrote more words about this album when it released, and I have nothing more to add other than I still think this is a great album.
